The Holland America “Ryndam” cruises into port at Loreto.  Cruisers were treated to a great time in the historical district of the town, with a special fiesta of traditional food and dance. 

Our friend Maria Teresa at the Silver Desert Jewelry Shop told us of her joy in greeting the passengers on their arrival….and telling the story of Loreto to curious visitors who were surprised at the lack of commercialism and touristo-activities…just lots of friendly locals always ready to provide warm hospitality, great restaurants and a wonderfully preserved 300-year old mission that welcomes visitors night and day, in the tradition of a charming European village.
